CRPF Personnel Marries Pakistani Girl Via Online Ceremony

   

Srinagar, Mar 02 (KB): In an unusual cross-border union, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) employee, has married a Pakistani national via an online video conference.

Muneer Ahmed, son of Nazir Ahmed, a resident of Handwal village near Rabta Tehsil in Bhalwal, serving in 72nd Battalion CRPF, is currently stationed in Shiv Khouri Ransoo, Reasi district. His bride, Menal Khan, daughter of Mohd Asgar Khan, hails from Kotli Faqir Chand, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan.

Menal Khan his bride, as learnt by news agency Kashmir Bulletin, arrived in India late last night after securing a 15-day entry permit from authorities. She was received by her in-laws at the Wagah #Border in Punjab and escorted to her husband’s residence in Handwal village.

The groom’s family has in the meantime also confirmed to Kashmir Bulletin, that all legal protocols for Menal’s entry were followed, with necessary permissions granted by relevant agencies. (KB)
