Encounter breaks out in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Jul 02: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Chatroo area of Kishtwar district on Wednesday, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an exchange of fire took place after the security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area following specific intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists.

They said the joint operation is being carried out in the area.

Meanwhile, sources said two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area—(KNO)
