Two Dead as Oil Tanker Rolls Down in Leh-Ladakh Road Accident

Leh, July 3: Two persons lost their lives in a tragic road accident on the Lehโ€“Ladakh highway Wednesday evening after an oil tanker skidded off the road and rolled into a deep gorge.

An official told news agency JKNS that both the driver and conductor of the tanker died on the spot due to the impact of the crash. โ€œWe reached the site and attempted to assist, but unfortunately both had succumbed to their injuries by the time help arrived,โ€ official said

The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. (JKNS)
