Girls Outshine Boys in Class 10th Exam Results in Kashmir


Srinagar, Jan 14:The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday declared the results of the Class 10th annual regular examination (2025), recording an overall pass percentage of 85.03 percent across Kashmir.

According to official figures released by JKBOSE, a total of 94,845 students appeared in the examination, including 47,736 boys and 47,109 girls. Of these, 80,650 students successfully qualified the exam—40,242 boys and 40,408 girls.

The results once again highlighted the strong academic performance of girls, who achieved a higher pass percentage of 85.78 percent, compared to 84.30 percent recorded by boys.

Grade-wise analysis of the results shows that 16,550 students secured Grade A1, 14,398 obtained A2, 16,014 achieved B1, 17,519 secured B2, 13,623 were awarded C1, and 2,525 received C2. Only two students were placed in Grade D.

JKBOSE officials congratulated the successful candidates and expressed hope for their continued academic excellence in the future.
