Reservation Proposal Sent to Home Ministry by LG: CM Omar Abdullah

Jammu, Feb 05: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday said that the proposal regarding reservation has been forwarded by the Lieutenant Governor to the Union Home Ministry for further consideration.

Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister, as reported by Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that the proposal approved by the cabinet was sent to the Union Home Ministry by the LG.

Referring to the recent protests, Omar Abdullah remarked that those who took pride in protesting outside his residence should instead protest outside the Home Minister’s residence and meet the Union Home Minister, who is currently visiting Jammu and Kashmir, to submit a memorandum.

He clarified that the cabinet had sent its proposal on reservation to the Lieutenant Governor.

The Chief Minister also expressed hope that anomalies in the Transaction of Business Rules would be rectified in the coming days.
