Enquiry Team Constituted to Probe Death of Kulgam Youth at GMC Anantnag: Sakina Itoo

Kulgam, April 19: Sakina Itoo, Minister for Health and Education, has ordered the constitution of an enquiry team to investigate the death of a Kulgam youth at Government Medical College Anantnag, where the family has alleged medical negligence.

The deceased has been identified as Bilal Ahmad Mir of Yarhole Baihama, who succumbed after a tragic accident in Anantnag.

Speaking on the issue, the Minister said that a thorough probe will be conducted to ascertain the facts. She assured that if any negligence is found, strict action will be taken against those responsible.

“There will be no compromise in patient care under any circumstances,” she emphasized.

She made these remarks during her visit to Chambgund area of Kulgam, where she inaugurated a Government Girls’ High School.
