Chief Minister Vows No ‘Jungle Raj,’ Seeks Strict Action Over Ramban Killing

Bijbehara, April 14: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister on Tuesday asserted that his government will not allow a situation of “jungle raj” and remains fully committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region.

While speaking to reporters in Bijbehara, the Chief Minister said that his administration aims to usher in a new phase of peace and stability across Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that certain elements are trying to disturb communal harmony and create unrest.

“There are people who do not like peace and instead want communal unrest and conflict,” he said. “As long as my government remains in power, we will not allow such forces to succeed.”
Without naming any individuals or groups, he warned that strict measures would be taken to prevent any deterioration in law and order.

The Chief Minister also urged to ensure strict action against those involved in the recent killing in Ramban, as well as against individuals attempting to disrupt peace.

He added that firm action would send a strong message that lawlessness and disorder will not be tolerated under the present government.
